ampersand is a three-piece rock band from cologne | germany. after having released the albums "macro" (2001) and "boredom and identity" (2004) the singer and guitarist bartz left the band. former "sans secours" singer and producer hannes jäckl joined the band. the musical style changed from helmet-influenced noise rock to what the german magazine intro now calls "wertkonservativer herrenrock". somewhere between noise, blues, and rock. the latest release is the album "the can can variety show" (2006 rakete music).
