About A Lot Like Birds

DIVISI: The fourth full-length album from Sacramento, CA’s A Lot Like Birds. An all-encompassing, all-consuming emotional experience. DIVISI is an album about life and death, and about love and heartbreak. It is about acknowledging your past and facing your future. It’s about starting over, without forgetting where you’ve been. And about remembering those who inspired you to be the person you are and the person you still strive to be. DIVISI is about the change and growth that A Lot Like Birds not only wanted, but needed. After releasing three full-length albums, No Place (2013), Conversation Piece (2011) and Plan B (2009), signing to Equal Vision Records, and touring around the world nearly non-stop for five years straight, A Lot Like Birds began recording their fourth full-length album on April 19, 2016. Armed with a new lineup of Cory Lockwood (vocals), Michael Franzino (guitar), Ben Wiacek (guitar), Joseph Arrington (drums) and newcomer Matt Coate (vocals, bass), and working with Sacramento-based producer Dryw Owens (From Indian Lakes, Sianvar), the band entered the studio – unaware of just how much time, energy and passion would go into the process of creating this new album, that will mark a new era for the band upon its May 5 release.
