Alex Angelo is a Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and producer. Born in Florida, raised in Ohio. Danced for the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7, hosted his own weekly Radio Disney mix show at 12, toured with Shawn Mendes and Fifth Harmony before he could drive. Now the flagship writer for Symphonic Publishing — collaborator with Shay Mooney, Bryan Michael Cox, Tricky Stewart, and more. Born in Florida, and growing up in Ohio, primarily Cleveland and Cincinnati, Angelo recalls that his earliest musical motives were driven by his love for dance and DJing. At the age of 7, Alex was dancing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. At the age of 10, he was DJing in the arena during games. At the age of 12, he had a weekly radio mix show on Radio Disney. Alex's mom is a public school music teacher, and Alex decided early on that he wanted to be the artist on the records, not just playing and dancing to the music. Through his teens, Alex toured with Austin Mahone, Jake Miller, Shawn Mendes, Fifth Harmony, and self-released several songs that have totalled millions of listens on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music. Now 25, living in Nashville, TN, Alex has grown as a producer/songwriter learning from the likes of Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Antonio Dixon (Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande). In the Spring of 2023, Alex signed as the flagship writer for the brand new publishing branch of Symphonic and has collaborated with Shay Mooney, George Birge, Drew Baldridge, Chase McDaniel, Bryan Michael Cox, Tricky Stewart, Jimi Bell, Michael Lotten, Lecade, Jake Banfield, MaRynn Taylor, Thomas Edwards, Just Jayne, David Morris, VWillz, and more. Alex’s journey began onstage as a dancer for the Cleveland Cavaliers, but his talent quickly took center stage. At just 12 years old, he landed his own show on Radio Disney. By his teens, he was touring nationally with artists like Shawn Mendes, Austin Mahone, Fifth Harmony, and Jake Miller. At 17, he signed with legendary producer Babyface. Two years later, he made the leap to Nashville and secured a publishing deal with Symphonic in 2022. Now 24, Alex is releasing music at a steady pace—about every five weeks—and seeing the highest consumption numbers of his career. Songs like U & Tequila, Turn a Round, and Mr. Maker have resonated with listeners and earned him editorial playlist placements across major DSPs. If one had to label his sound, it would fall under “Country Pop”—a mix of heart and hook, somewhere between Dan + Shay and Kacey Musgraves. Alongside his artist work, Alex hosts a nationally syndicated radio show heard on Top 40 and rhythm stations across the country, distributed by Yea! Networks. A brand ambassador for Free2Luv—a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth, ending bullying, and supporting mental wellness—Alex brings a personal lens to his advocacy. Bullied as a teen for simply being different, he now uses his platform to champion self-expression and resilience, especially for young people navigating their own paths.
