The Black Jacket Symphony offers a unique concert experience through recreating classic albums in a live performance setting. A selected album is performed in its entirety by a group of handpicked musicians specifically selected for each album, with no sonic detail being overlooked--the musicians do whatever it takes to musically reproduce the album. The performance is separated into two sets--the first set features the album being recreated as a true symphonic piece. The second set, which features a selection of the album artist's "greatest hits", opens in full contrast to the first set with an incredible light display and the symphony being much more laid back. The tone is set very quickly that this is going to be the musicianship of the first act paired with all the bells and whistles of a major rock and roll show.

Black Jacket Symphony performs their music with perfection! Their music and vocals are clear and crisp. It was a perfect live experience. They replicate their cover songs very accurately. It's a real pleasure to hear the songs live. I saw them again the following night for the Abbey Road concert. The experience was equally fantastic. For anyone who appreciates live cover music, you will never be disappointed with Black Jacket Symphony. The Colonial Theatre is the perfect venue for live concerts. It's not too large and very comfortable. The acoustics are fantastic. I am looking forward to more events here in IdahoFalls.
The Colonial Theater Idaho Falls, IDThis is my second Black Jacket experience. The first time was a perfect rendition of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon", followed by a greatest hits set. Tonight was a fantastic version of Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" album, followed by their greatest hits. This troupe does a unbelievable version of note-by-note renditions of their selected bands. I see a lot of tribute bands, but Black Jacket Symphony stands alone at reproducing the exact sounds of multiple great bands. This troupe is a must-see any time you get a chance!!!
House of Blues Dallas - Performing Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" Dallas Downtown, TXAmazing show! The first few songs the treble was off a bit but was leveled out quickly. The rest of the show, I closed my eyes and it was like Freddie Mercury was there singing instead of Marc Martel. He had the moves down and by the second half of the show the audience actually realized they were at a rock concert and got into it! I'll definitely see the Black Jacket Symphony again and would love to hear Marc sing again - a true tribute to the most versatile rock band in history. Rock on!!
Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - Performing Queen's "A Night at the Opera" ft. Marc Martel Chattanooga, TNOh my! That show was amazing! I have never seen or felt anything like it! I remember watching the Pink Floyd The Wall when I was a kid thinking it was wild but Black Jacket Symphony did so awesome they did a fantastic job covering a classic album by a band that was very unique, I was shocked and absolutely loved this experience and the light show was so trippy and amazing! This was a night I will never forget! Thank you!
Fine Arts Theatre Rapid City, SDThe show was not to excitement the first half (not continue, play one song then stop. Play another and stop again). 2nd half was very good. No dance floor for us and a lot of people sitting down instead of dancing. Also they are not allow us to re-entry if we go outside. Overall experience was very happy with the band but also very disappoint with the Columbia County Performing Art Center.
