Hailed for their effortlessly cool, genre-blurring sound, Broncho has spent the past decade crafting infectious, hypnotic indie rock that lingers long after the last note. Now, the Tulsa-based band returns with Natural Pleasure—their first album in over five years, out April 25, 2025. A swirling fever dream of lo-fi textures, pulsing grooves, and hazy psychedelia, Natural Pleasure sounds like Kid A filtered through a haze of pot smoke—a hypnotic, late-night ride that feels both effortless and otherworldly. Leading the charge are Imagination and Funny, two standouts that set the tone for Broncho’s boldest, most immersive record yet. The Funny music video is a throwback to MTV’s golden era, when 120 Minutes and Alternative Nation championed the underground greats. Think the raw charm of R.E.M., the offbeat swagger of Talking Heads, the hazy cool of The Jesus and Mary Chain, and the irresistible weirdness of The B-52’s. It’s a visual and sonic trip proving Broncho is still pushing boundaries while staying true to their signature sound. At the heart of Broncho’s unmistakable identity is Ryan Lindsey’s singular vocal delivery—a mesmerizing instrument in itself. His lyrics feel more like textures than narratives, delivered in a way that’s hypnotic, raw, and emotionally charged. Whether a whispered murmur or a stretched-out yelp, his voice hits like a feeling before it registers as language, making every track on Natural Pleasure an experience as much as a song.
