About Birds of Tokyo
Formed in Perth, Birds of Tokyo have grown from independent roots to become one of Australia’s most popular contemporary rock bands. The band has released six studio albums including Human Design which topped the ARIA charts. Classic songs like “Good Lord”, “Two Of Us”, “Plans”, “Lanterns”, “Brace” and “I’d Go With You Anywhere” have all been top 10 airplay hits and more than seventy Birds of Tokyo tracks have featured on Triple J, making them one of the National Youth Broadcaster’s three most played artists of this millennium. Birds of Tokyo have played every major festival in this country and appeared as special guests for Muse, Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel, Keith Urban and Bon Jovi. They’ve also headlined the AFL Grand Final, NRL’s flagship State of Origin Game and the Melbourne Grand Prix plus toured across Australia with some of the country’s most prestigious Symphony Orchestras. Absolutely brilliant performance. Stunning reimagining of BoT’s most popular songs. Standout songs (if that was even possible) were Hurt (cover of Johnny Cash’s cover of the Nine Inch Nails song = their description!) and Brace, a powerful symphonic masterpiece.

My 3rd time seeing a Birds show and it was awesome like always! Great to hear some classics, it felt like a trip down memory lane especially with the slide show of some old footage with questionable fashion choices.

I didn't know much about their music beforehand (except for randomly hearing their music) but I'm definitely a fan now. I can't wait for them to do their own tour back in Bne and I'll definitely buy tickets.

This band always engage and entertain. And the acoustinc intro was a great way to open up a bit more loosely - from relaxed to intense and all stops in between. Love this band's performances

Band was full of fire and energy, audio equipment was pretty poor... Vocals struggled to reach the back of the room. Have seen these guys a few times.now, whilst intimate, this venue needs an audio upgrade.
