About Black Square
I am Composer and Producer Andrew Beaton and work creatively under the alias Black Square.
My debut album ‘Silent City’ was release in 2016 on Ben Verse from Pendulum’s label Crunch Recordings and includes vocals from Ben Verse, MC Conrad, Eliza Shaded, Sarah Hezen, Grace Tither, Ella Sopp and Joe Killington.

The second Black Square album, ‘Beggars Opera’, will be released in 2019 and features collaborations with Andre Terre Laville, Graziella Affinita, Sarah Hezen, Ella Sopp and Icelandic Composer Bjarni Biering.
My music has been used globally in in adverts and feature films - most recently Hot Property. With gigs at London at venues including Cargo, The Egg and Basing House and UK festivals including Hogsozzle, El Dorado and Noisily, I have been placed on Red Bull’s Top 10 Albums of the Month and gained press support from Clash magazine, Wordplay and The Independent.
