Brass Construction was a nine piece funk group from Brooklyn New York. They scored two Hot 100 entries in 1976 - the most successful being "Movin'," which hit #14. They had much more success on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, with nine chart entries, including "Movin'," which hit #1. Vocalist and keyboardist Randy Muller went on to score a number of R&B hits with Skyy. The members included: Michael Grudge (b. Jamaica) and Jesse Ward Jnr. (saxophones), Wayne Parris (b. Jamaica) and Morris Price (trumpets), Joseph Arthur Wong (b. Trinidad; guitar), Wade Williamson (bass), Larry Payton (drums) and percussionist Sandy Billups.
