But Sands doesn't make it easy for himself or even sit in nests he's made. With determination and with a highly developed individuality, he sets up his own creative space, where he relocates enlightened jazz classicism with fresh ambition and thirst for action. Sand's musical-cultural stance is deeply rooted in African-American jazz heritage.
