Sidi Bémol c'est une discographie déjà riche : un premier opus paru en 1998 pensé comme une radio des années 70 au programme varié (rock, blues, traditionnel…), un live enregistré au Bledstock d'Alger en 2000, un petit détour berbéro celtique avec Thalweg publié en 2001, puis le célèbre El Bandi, gros succès en Algérie depuis 2003. Apres s'être produit sur de nombreuses scènes internationales (Montréal, Göteborg, Barcelone, Paris, Essaouira (Maroc), Alger, Tabarka (Tunisie)…) Sidi Bémol revient en 2007 avec dix nouvelles chansons terriblement rock dans l'album Gourbi Rock. Fort de son succès l'artiste continue son exploration musicale avec les Chants des Marins Kabyles en 2008, surprenant par son originalité et sa simplicité, où les chants a capella révèlent une voix chaleureuse de bluesman kabyle, avant de passer à un album berbero-celtic qui relie les continents autour d'une musique festive bien étonnante… 2008 sera un tournant dans la carrière de Sidi Bémol qui se produit à Alger pour deux représentations a guichet fermé dans un théâtre de 5.000 places… La Une des quotidiens algériens lui est alors consacré ! Cette même année, Lyes Salem réalisateur du film Mascarades (UGC-Canal+, décembre 2008) choisi le titre Ma Kayen Walou Kima l'Amour pour son générique de fin. Et enfin le documentaire Bled-Musique à L'Usine réalisé par Samia Chala et Sid Ahmed Semiane en rotation hebdomadaire sur Beur TV a pour personnage central cet artiste hors norme ! Sidi Bémol c'est aussi un label de production de disque et de spectacle, CSB Productions, qui lui permet de produire ses propres albums mais également ceux de Azenzar, chanteur kabyle, Zerda, groupe de rock algérois, ainsi que Sortie d'Usine, une compilation réunissant 20 titres des musiciens de Louzine, collectif d'artistes français et maghrébins au sein duquel évolue l'Orchestre National de Barbes, Gaada Diwane de Béchar... Toujours en quête d'indépendance il crée également le distributeur en ligne Undergroone. Pour son 7ème album, Sidi Bémol nous fait voyager de la Bretagne à la Kabylie et de l'Irlande au Sahara grâce aux sonorités festives et chaleureuses du berbero-celtic groove sous le titre Paris-Alger-Bouzeguene. Biography: Sidi Bémol, has a rich discography already. A first opus was released in 1998, conceived like a radio from the seventies broadcasting different musical genres (rock, blues, traditional...). After having played on many international scenes, Sidi Bémol come back in 2007 with 10 new terribly rock songs in the album Gourbi Rock. Drawing on its success, the artist continues his musical exploration with Chants de Marins Kabyles in 2008, surprising by its originality, its simplicity, the a capella songs reveal a warm Kabyle bluesman voice. He now comes back with a Berbero-Celtic album that links continents around an amazing festive music... 2008 is a significant turn in Sidi Bémol's career. He plays two full house concerts in a 5.000 seats theater in Algiers. He then hits the headlines of Algerian newspapers. The same year, Lyes Salem, director of Mascarades (December 2008, UGC-Canal+ production), chooses the song Ma Kayen Walou Kima l'Amour to conclude his movie. Last but not least, the documentary Bled-Musique à l'Usine, directed by Samia Chala and Sid Ahmed Semiane, broadcasted every week on Beur TV, is centered on this outstanding artist. Sidi Bémol it's also a record label, CSB Productions, that allows him to produce his own albums but also those of Azenzar, a Kabyle singer, Zerda, an Algerian rock band. This label also made Sortie d'Usine, a compilation album bringing together 20 songs from the musicians of Louzine, a Franco-Maghrebin artist collective in which groups like Orchestre National de Barbes or Gaada Diwane de Bechar have developped. In a permanent search for independence, he also created the online retailer Undergroone. For his 7th album, Sidi Bémol, his festive sounds, the warmth of the Berberico-Celtic groove, invite us to a musical trip from Brittany to Kabylia, from Ireland to Sahara, under the title Paris-Alger-Bouzeguene.
