Multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley found himself instantly intrigued with the song idea of his new single “Woman Amen,” during a co-write with songwriters Josh Kear and Ross Copperman. The result is one of Bentley’s most personal songs that also taps into a universal feeling of love and gratitude for those who walk through life beside us. There was also something entirely captivating about performing this past summer at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Surrounded by his musical heroes, deep in the box canyon of the Colorado mountain town, the course was set for the creative process of Bentley’s ninth studio album, THE MOUNTAIN (Capitol Records Nashville), which will be released in early 2018. New music quickly follows as its debut single “Woman Amen” gives a taste of the record's "themes of questing and self-actualization across a wide-open terrain of arid deserts and rugged ridgelines, cactus flowers and tumbleweeds," (NPR). The writing process came together quickly when Bentley returned to Telluride a short time later for a retreat with fellow Nashville songwriters. Guitars, banjos, mandolins, and fiddles are given room to shine, and integrated into modern drum and bass sounds that will fuel the arenas and amphitheaters of Bentley’s 2018 tour. While earning 17 career No. Ones, he has garnered nominations from the ACM, CMA, GRAMMY and Billboard Music Awards, he also served as a Grand Ole Opry member for over a decade. GO SEE THIS SHOW! First time I ever saw Dierks was in 2004 at a county fair before he was big, it's been about 15 years since the last time I saw him at a Luke Bryan show. I forgot how great of an entertainer and how much fun a Dierks Bentley show is! Jordan Davis is a bonus as well, he's one of my favorites. It was high energy from the first song, there's no sitting down. Stay for the encore, it's really funny!
UIC Pavilion Chicago, ILDB is my favorite country artist and I go to his show every time he's in San Diego. He was just as much fun this year and he played all my favorites. My only disappoint was that he didn't end with one of his songs but instead brought his Hot Country Nights group up to end the evening. Although they're fun I think it's better to have them play either before the show or maybe 1/2 way through.
North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre Chula Vista, CAIt was ok. Took FOREVER for his stage to get set up. DJ was playing Hip hip music (at a country venue). He played way to many slow songs and at 11 we left. I understand it was Valentine’s Day but wayyyyy to many slow songs. Totally lost our interest. I wouldn’t go again. And the merchandise was WAY overpriced. $30 for 1 shirt.... come on. We’re not rich like you Dierks
Citizens Business Bank Arena Ontario, CAThe whole show was amazing. Dierks sounded better live than ever. He was very involved with the crowd and fans. This was my first time attending a concert at Rolling Hills and it was very impressive. There was no lines for food or drinks and the bathroom situation was very nice as well for as many people that were there. I will come back every time Dierks Bentley performs at the resort.
Rolling Hills Casino Corning, CAHad a blast! My mom even enjoyed herself and she doesn’t understand my going to live shows! Was glad that he made an effort to include everyone in attendence. Shook mine and my 9 y/o daughters hands, told her to “keep on believing” which she loved. His guitarist made a point of giving her both guitar picks! Made her night! Glad I was able to see him again!
