About Daria

Formed in Angers, France, Daria are a fiercely independent rock band known for their powerful live shows and uncompromising sound. With a long international history of touring and releases, they’ve shared stages with The Jesus Lizard, Against Me!, Kepone and Seaweed, and have worked with iconic producers including Iain Burgess and J. Robbins. Their 2016 album Impossible Colours was even distributed by Ian MacKaye’s Dischord Records — a rare distinction for a French band. After a brief hiatus, Daria returned in 2022 with renewed energy, a new bassist (Pierre-Yves, ex-Les Thugs). Their fifth album "Fall Not", released December 6, 2024 on Twenty Something, marks a major evolution: louder, heavier and more melodic, with longer, more expansive songs and lyrics that hit harder — politically, personally and emotionally. 2025 has been spent touring the record across Europe, with 2026 set for the second and final leg of the tour. Fall Not hasn’t been a comeback record — it’s been a statement.
