About Dolcenera
Emanuela Trane, also known as Dolcenera, was born in 1977 in the Southern Italy. With an incredible strong voice, intelligent and emotional lyrics and an astonishing look, Dolcenera is one of the best Italian female singer to date. Her songs are wild and graceful at the same time like the character of Dolcenera is as well. The translation of Dolcenera is sweet and black and these words describe her very well: profound and sexy, vulnerable and strong, rocking and affective and at least an angel and a devil on stage. Her career began like those of most authentic musicians: with a lot of struggle. But she worked on very tough and the success came. She took part in the selection of the competition Destinazione Sanremo on the channel Rai 2 in 2002 and was invited to participate at the Sanremo Festival. She won in the category Young Section of this very famous festival in 2003 with the track Siamo Tutti Là Fuori and also won the Press, TV and Radio Award. After this stunning success she started to present her first album Sorriso Nucleare and toured through Italy till 2004. In 2005, after winning the famous italian reality show Music Farm, she presents her second album Un Mondo Perfetto, which reamins on the charts for almost a year, after a historical new entry, for a young artist on the 4th place! In that year she composed and interpreted Domani, the hymn for the Championship of the National Juvenile Soccer, she won the coveted De Andrè Award and carried the Olympic Torch to the Marmi Stadium in Rome and she also received the Leone d'Argento in Venice as musical revelation of the year. In 2006 Dolcenera is officially invited to participate in the Sanremo Festival. The title of the song is Com'è Straordinaria La Vita (How wonderful life is), the first single out of her current Italian album Il Popolo Dei Sogni, which stays in the Top 30 Single-Charts for many weeks. Her last two albums were both awarded gold. A compilation out of her last two albums also being called Un Mondo Perfetto is just released in Germany.
