Die So Fluid, the modern incarnation of a power trio, is spearheaded by captivating bass-wielding frontwoman Grog. It is a unique alternative hard rock band fluidly combining the muscle of metal, and the angular cheekbones of post-punk. The band’s sound is laced with intoxicating melody and has been described as a ‘gothic Soundgarden’, and ‘Siouxsie Sioux meets Slayer’. History Rising like a phoenix from the ashes of former 90’s UK band ‘Feline’, Die So Fluid released the debut album ‘Spawn of Dysfunction’ in 2004. Six albums into their career they have consistently received critical acclaim for both recorded works and live performances. With a universally positive reception they have toured extensively in the UK, North America and Europe. The tour cycle for the follow up album ‘Not Everybody Gets A Happy Ending’ (2008) found the band appearing in 20 different countries in one year. Die So Fluid have remained true to their original intention of maintaining independence and creative control. Fans have come to love them for high energy live shows, passionate lyrics and vibrant artistry. Bands they have supported include Drowning Pool, Vex Red, Clawfinger, Boy Hits Car, Feeder, Girlschool, Antiproduct, The Wildhearts, Eisbrecher, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Dreaming, My Ruin, Ill Nino, Maj Karma, Prong, Eyes Set To Kill, The March Violets and Wednesday 13. Having proven themselves with multiple sold out headline shows, the band also made a special appearance at the London Bass Guitar Show in 2013, and headlined festivals in Portugal, Germany and Switzerland. Other notable festival appearances include Finland, Holland, and Spain as well as returning three times to Hard Rock Hell, UK. The song ‘Black Blizzard’, from their album ‘The Opposites of Light’ (2014) was in the official final selection of Classic Rock Magazine wildcard entries for Songs Of The Year. Die So Fluid is driven by the vision of frontwoman and songwriter Grog (vocals, bass) and co-founder/co-writer Drew Richards (guitar). Until his tragic death from sepsis in 2016 the legendary Al Fletcher (Gigantic, The Selecter) played drums and performed backing vocals shaping the early trajectory of the band. After the shock of Al’s passing the surviving members of Die So Fluid pulled together with friend and co-producer Justin Bennett (Skinny Puppy, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult) on drums to complete and release the album, ‘One Bullet From Paradise’, made possible by a resoundingly successful Pledge campaign in 2017. At this time the band is internationally located with Grog in the USA, Justin in Italy and Drew in the UK. Most recently the band has become a collective of sorts, introducing new live members to enable Grog to continue playing her songs wherever she may roam. While promoting the band’s sixth album ‘Skin Hunger’(2024), a new live incarnation completed a successful West Coast tour supporting The March Violets. Since 2025 the band has accrued 4 million digital streams and is attracting new fans every day.
