Djena is a rising force in the French underground scene. Introduced to music by his older brother during his teenage years, he has never stopped exploring, creating, and bringing a unique vision to the table. He began his journey as a resident DJ in various clubs in his hometown, Montpellier, where he honed his style and developed a free-spirited, instinctive approach to mixing. His talent behind the decks quickly earned him spots alongside renowned artists such as Luciano, Seth Troxler, Raresh, Lil Louis, Kevin Saunderson, Traumer, and many more. In the studio, Djena stands out for his rich and diverse inspirations, with EPs released on labels such as Stamp Records, Inwave Records, and Time Has Changed. Constantly evolving, he is also one half of the duo Som.1, known for their releases on prestigious labels like Cod3 QR (founded by Laurent Garnier) and R&S Records. Their track Ultimatum was featured on the legendary compilation In Order to Dance 4.0 by R&S Records. The year 2023 marked a major milestone with the launch of his own label, Layers of Truth Records, a true reflection of his artistic vision. The label offers an eclectic selection where quality is the only standard. Looking ahead to 2025, Djena continues to push boundaries with the release of new solo EPs, the unveiling of a brand-new live act, and an upcoming album with Som.1.
