DJ Ruby is an internationally recognised underground progressive house DJ and producer from Malta, active since the early ’90s. He was among the key figures in building the country’s underground dance music scene and helping transform it into the thriving culture it became. Over the years he played a central role first as a DJ, and later through his Pure Promotions events and a decade-long Renaissance Malta residency throughout the island’s golden years of the 2000s. Known for hypnotic, seamless journey sets and a deeply musical approach to the dance floor, DJ Ruby has become a respected figure within the underground progressive community. Since fully dedicating himself to the genre in 2018, he has swiftly established a strong international presence, building loyal audiences worldwide. His productions and remixes have appeared on a wide range of labels including Mango Alley, Global Underground, Balance and Warung Recordings, earning chart success and support across the progressive scene. Alongside non-stop touring, he continues to curate select events and remains very active online, constantly sharing mixes and studio sessions with a growing following.
