Ed Struijlaart is singer-songwriter, theatermaker en podcastmaker uit Zuid-Holland. Sinds zijn debuutalbum 'Head, Heart and Hands' (2012) bouwde hij een eigen plek in de Nederlandse muziek: de single 'Make It On Your Own' behaalde platina, hij scoorde vier NPO Radio 2 Topsongs en stond in het voorprogramma van onder meer BLØF, Ilse DeLange en de Gipsy Kings (AFAS Live). Als songwriter schreef hij samen met Peter Slager (BLØF) onder andere 'Weg van Jou' voor Rob Dekay, de titeltrack van de gelijknamige film, en alle muziek voor 'Soof, de Musical'. In het theater is Ed de man achter de Gitaarmannen-voorstellingen, waarin hij livemuziek combineert met de verhalen achter de grootste gitaristen. Sinds 2018 speelde hij meer dan 180 voorstellingen: van 'Gitaarmannen, van Clapton tot Sheeran' via 'Clapton Unplugged' en de solotour 'Alles op Rood' tot 'Gitaarmannen 3: John Mayer'. In seizoen 2026/2027 staat hij door heel Nederland met 'Gitaarmannen 4: Continuum': twintig jaar na John Mayers meesterwerk vertelt Ed met zijn band het verhaal achter de plaat, met uniek beeldmateriaal en gesprekken met de mensen die er echt bij waren. Daarnaast maakt Ed de Gitaarmannen-podcast, over gitaren en de mensen die ze spelen, en de podcast Liedjesmensen.
