Electrasy are an English rock band whose story now stretches across three decades and counting. Formed in Dorset in 1994, the band came together around vocalist Alisdair McKinnell alongside guitarists Nigel Nisbet and Steve Atkins, bassist Alex Meadows, drummer Paul Pridmore, and keyboardist Jim Hayden. After an intense run through the late 90s and early 2000s, Electrasy stepped away in 2002, but never truly disappeared. The years that followed saw solo records, touring with major artists, and the band quietly maintaining a bond that refused to fade. Jim Hayden rejoined in 2022, helping spark a full creative revival, where they also introduced Chris 'Padge' Page on drums. That resurgence began with Givin’ It Back in 2021, a reflective release blending remastered favourites with a live recording of the 1998 single Best Friend’s Girl. Momentum continued with the fourth studio album To The Other Side, recorded in 2022 and released in summer 2023. In 2026, Electrasy are not a nostalgia act. They are a band that has come back clearer, louder, and more connected to their roots than ever.
