Music has this power to transport its listener to another dimension, although it is unlikely for such power to be released with as much strength as the albums of ERA bring about. An imaginary language carried by a timeless and heterogeneous music enabled Eric Levi to deliver a fascinating work that touched the very heart and soul of millions of people around the world. Indeed, the first four albums, « ERA » « ERA 2 » «The Mass » and « Reborn » sold 3 million copies in France only and over 8 million worldwide, thereby earning platinum or gold certifications in more than 18 countries. The latest albums, entitled « Classics » and « Classics 2 » are substantially different. Here, unusual musician and creator of ERA Eric Levi decided to adapt a number of famous classical tunes into his new-age style. He revisited the works of great composers such as Bach, Haendel, Verdi or Vivaldi to give birth to these mystically powerful pieces. The outcome of this inspiration inevitably meets up with the atmospheric and ethereal ambiance responsible for the success of the previous albums. With such titles as « Bach + Ritus Pacis + Concerto N°3 » and « A Brand New Day » ERA demonstrates its will to free itself from every musical boundary and thereby keeps us delightfully surprised. « As a rule, I try never to follow the musical frameworks imposed by times and cultures, I am always looking for strong emotions, like those a great epic movie can foster in you.
