Gordon Giltrap (born 6 April, 1948) is a British virtuoso acoustic and electric guitarist and composer, whose music can be categorised into folk, blues, folk rock, and classical, amongst others. Giltrap learned guitar at the age of twelve, having received no other training, and hence developed his own style and technique. He has played alongside such other artists as Bert Jansch, John Renbourn and Mike Oldfield. Gordon's music is largely instrumental, particularly that written as part of the Gordon Giltrap Band. Giltrap has released an impressive 27 albums since the first, self-titled, album in 1968.
