Seit Haiyti knapp zehn Jahren aus dem Nichts in eine Szene im Umbruch platzte (und diesen Umbruch im Alleingang auf Überschallgeschwindigkeit beschleunigte), war sie mittendrin und doch nie richtig dabei. Sie hat Musik mit den Großen gemacht: Trettmann, Casper, Haftbefehl, Miksu/Macloud. Und sie hat den deutschen Pop geprägt: sein Vokabular, seine Kadenz, seine Melodien, seine ganze Geschwindigkeit. Dennoch ist sie immer auch eine Außenseiterin geblieben, ein Phänomen, das sich ihrer Umwelt entzieht und ihrer Konkurrenz sowieso. Man guckt auf sie. Aber wirklich greifen kann man sie nicht. Und die Welt, die ist Haiyti ohnehin immer zu klein gewesen.
