About Hozier
Irish singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Hozier rose to global attention in 2013 when his moody and soulful rock single "Take Me to Church" became a viral success. The song catapulted him into a major-label contract for his eponymous debut, platinum certifications in 11 countries, and a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year in 2015. After several years of touring and promotion, he returned with the 2018 EP Nina Cried Power and his second full-length, Wasteland, Baby!, which hit number one in the U.S. and Ireland upon its release in 2019. Hozier's first original track of the next decade was the poignant 2022 protest song "Swan Upon Leda." was born on March 17, 1990 in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland. The son of a local blues musician, he joined his first band when he was 15, gravitating toward R&B, soul, gospel, and, of course, blues. Citing 's Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man, , , and community choral singing among his influences, Hozier started studying for a degree in music at Trinity College Dublin, where he was involved with the Trinity Orchestra, but dropped out in his first year to record demos for . From 2009 to 2012, he sang with , an Irish choral group, and toured internationally. He released a solo EP, Take Me to Church, in 2013 using Hozier as his stage name, and when a video for the powerful title track, which directly addresses gay discrimination in the Catholic Church, went viral on YouTube and Reddit, he found himself with an international audience. A second EP, From Eden, appeared in the spring of 2014 and in September of that year, released his eponymous debut album. Thanks to the runaway success of "Take Me to Church" (which was included on the album), Hozier reached the Top Ten of the charts in no less than 11 countries, and was quickly certified gold in Canada and Great Britain. Hozier spent the next several years promoting the release, appearing at the 2015 Grammy Awards, and offering up the concert album Live in America, that same year. In 2016, he contributed the song "Better Love" to the soundtrack for the Legend of Tarzan film. In September 2018, Hozier released the four-song Nina Cried Power EP, which featured a collaboration with soul legend on the title cut. The song was also featured on his sophomore full-length Wasteland, Baby!, which was released in March 2019. Rife with apocalyptic and socio-political themes, Wasteland, Baby! debuted at number one in the U.S. upon its release; it also topped the charts in Ireland and debuted at six in the U.K. In early 2020, following months of touring, Hozier issued his version of the traditional song "The Parting Glass" as a charity single. A year later he guested on 's track "Tell It to My Heart" which hit number 13 on the Irish charts. He returned in October 2022 with his own new single, the haunting "Swan Upon Leda," which served as the first taste of his third album.

Andrew made my birthday unforgettable! The Sing Out Loud Festival was my first ever concert experience, and thanks to Andrew it will not be my last. Andrew was incredible! It doesn’t need to be said that he is one of the best lyricist in the music industry today, but I have to say his voice is as haunting in person as it is on his records. I want to thank Andrew for coming to Florida, and enduring the heat, and I want to thank the lovely people at the Sing Out Loud Festival for all the incredible work they do. I hope to see you again.

The Hozier concert was just OK, I was very upset that there was no screen image of Allyson Russell. I didn’t realize that at this venue if you had lawn seats they could not fview any of the concert-and when the opening act who I adore, was not visible on the screen, which wasn’t that large from my seat anyway was nonexistent. Finally when Hozier came on the screen was visible, but it really wasn’t a very personal environment to see Hozier in either I might be complaining too much because it wasn’t the artist That was the problem, it was the venue.

BEST CONCERT EVER EVER EVER!!! IT GROUNDED BE AND LIFTED ME HIGHER & AWAKEND SOMETHING IN ME ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Hozier's SO incredibly humble and kind. He kept thanking us so much after every song and thanked the entire production, band, venue, everyone. first time i ever cried at a concert and the most magical one i've ever been too. he's such a good performer. he knows exactly what to do, how to do it and executed the concert so perfectly in my opinion. his civil rights movement/speech was so powerful ! i love that man more and more. God bless!

Seeing (and admiring) Hozier live was just amazing! His voice and talent in general, but also his band are just incredible. The pre-band (The Last Dinner Party) were epic also and fitting for a Hozier concert. Finally seeing him live was a dream come true, it was definitely worth it and I’ll do it again soon!! The venue I was at was also good, no complications nor queuing time (I was there 1h before start) and the fans were great too (there wasn’t any pushing as far as I’m aware and they looked out for each other). If you want to see Hozier live, DO IT <3

The show itself by Hozier was wonderful! The weather was uncooperative! The venue’s decision to not cancel and reschedule was not good. After just about a 3 hour delay, (concessions were closed, so no food or water) they decided to start the show even though lightning was still going on ( the fans were on metal bleachers) and they knew there was a noise curfew for this venue. Hozier put on a wonderful show despite this but show was shortened due to this venue’s noise curfew. Hozier 5 stars, venue no stars

This was a breathtaking show. Allison Russel and her band was fantastic. Hozier was just so beautiful and haunting that I can’t put it to words. The PNC Pavilion is also perfectly set up for a concert. The flow of people doesn’t get stuck, everything moves very quickly, and no matter what there is almost always exactly what you need wherever you are. I also loved the small sticker that was on the back of the arena seats where we could text the security our location at any time if there was a problem.

Beyond amazing. The love and appreciation from the fans, the incredible set list, the sound, the lights - I would see Hozier a million times at this venue if I lived long enough (and could afford to 😊). I’m grateful for the entire experience of feeling the physical presence of Hozier and his musician family in this perfectly sized venue. I cried with joy during the concert and again the next morning seeing some video my husband took. Loved it beyond my ability to find the right words to describe it.

he was amazing and hearing abstract (psychopomp) and all my faves was LIFE CHANGING but the venue was awful. i lost my friend and couldn’t find them until after the concert, it was squishy and overstimulating (not in a good concert mosh way) and overall terrible if you’re on the lawn, and if you’re not at the barricade or taller than 5’4. makes me want to never attend any other functions if it involves the sidney myer music bowl, which actually sucks bc i feel like i’m missing out :(

Great to hear live! We got an acapella 'i am stretched on your grave rendition for the spooky season. Free patches comemorating the performance date were given away and that was so charming! (I'm usually buying patches to commemorate live shows!) I loved seeing how aggressively he performed take me to church, and it was great seeing him highlight his bandmates and crew. And giving permission to let the crowd join in and singing for parts was great, but it never overpowered his voice or performance
