About Herman's Hermits Starring Peter Noone
Peter Blair Denis Bernard Noone is a multi-talented entertainer, who has been delighting audiences nearly all his life. He was born in Manchester, England, where he studied voice and acting at St. Bede’s College and the Manchester School of Music and Drama. As a child, he played “Stanley Fairclough” in the long-running British soap opera Coronation Street. He was also featured in the television series Knight Errant, Family Solicitor and Monro’s Saki Stories. At the age of fifteen, Peter achieved international fame as Herman’s Hermits, lead singer of the legendary Sixties pop band Herman’s Hermits. His classic hits included: “I’m Into Something Good” “Mrs. Brown, you’ve Got A Lovely Daughter”, “I’m Henry VIII, I Am”, “Silhouettes”, “Can’t You Hear My Heartbeat”, “Just A Little Bit Better”, “Wonderful World”, “There’s A Kind of Hush”, “A Must To Avoid”, “Listen People”, “The End of the World” and “Dandy”. Ultimately, Herman’s Hermits sold over sixty million recordings. In all, fourteen singles and seven albums went gold. The Hermits were twice named Cashbox’s “Entertainer of the Year”. As “Herman”, the photogenic Noone graced the cover of nearly every international publication, including Time Magazine. He performed on hundreds of top-rated television programs and appeared with such luminaries as Ed Sullivan, Jackie Gleason, Dean Martin and Danny Kaye. He also starred in ABC’s musical version of The Canterville Ghost, Hallmark Hall of Fame’s presentation of the classic Pinocchio (in which he played the title role) and three highly successful feature films for M-G-M: Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter, Hold On! and When The Boys Meet The Girls. Throughout the seventies, Noone performed, composed songs and produced recordings with such artists as David Bowie, Debby Boone and Graham Gouldman. His album with the Tremblers, “Twice Nightly” and his solo effort “One of The Glory Boys” were both critically and commercially successful. With characteristic zeal, Peter took on leading roles in full-scale theatrical productions of Dick Wittington, Aladdin, and Sinbad The Sailor. These live stage spectaculars were mounted at major theatres throughout Great Britain and Noone was highly praised for his outstanding work. The eighties found Peter starring on Broadway in the New York Shakespeare Festival’s production of The Pirates of Penzance. He won rave reviews for his superb portrayal of the dashing, young hero, “Frederic”. His performance was so well received, that he went on to reprise the role at the world-famous Drury Lane Theatre in London. Noone charmed audiences worldwide as he continued to play “Frederic” with both the U.S. National Touring Company and the International Touring Company of “Pirates”. Peter’s acting career flourished with guest-starring roles in prime-time television shows such as: Married With Children, My Two Dads, Quantum Leap, Dave’s World, Easy Street, Too Close For Comfort and Laverne and Shirley. He also starred in the Los Angeles stage premiere of Topokana Martyr’s Day and the U.S. National Tour of the smash Broadway hit Romance, Romance. For four years, Noone served as the winsome host of VH1’s My Generation, the highest-ever-rated half hour retrospective of popular music. He also hosted the informative PBS Special The British Invasion Returns and recorded the title song for the Kirk Douglas film Diamonds. He created two unique websites (peternoone.com and hermanshermits.com) that have become so popular, the New York Daily News dubbed him the “King of The Sixties on the Internet.” Accompanied by his band, Herman’s Hermits, Noone consistently plays to sold-out venues the world over. He has a legion of faithful fans (known as “Noonatics”) whose loyalty is unparalleled. Today’s teen girls scream just as passionately as their mothers did back in 1965, prompting VH1 to select Peter as their viewer’s choice for the “Sexiest Artist of the Year”. Most recently, Noone starred in the recurring role of “Paddington” on the CBS daytime drama, As The World Turns. His colorful performances instantly made him a favorite of the soap opera magazines and online message boards. There is no doubt that Peter Noone’s extraordinary talent, disarming wit, handsome features and compelling stage presence will continue to delight fans of all ages, for a long, long time to come.

I think I've fallen in love with my second singer! I use to listen to Herman's Hermits with my friends whom passed away this past January 27th. He use to March around the house singing Henry The 8th. I had a great time reminiscing about my friend during the show. Peter Noon was phenomenal, I wish that I started going to his shows years ago. My uncle Bruce and I are going to see Peter Noon again at Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut on August 20th. We're going to get there at noon to get in line so we get good seats. Thanks Peter your the best!

Peter always has a wonderful show! He's so energetic and fun.. He is exactly what we need to forget our problems and enjoy an evening or day show. We laughed and sang and the people around us were saying how much more they enjoyed his show over the Three Dog Night show. They should have put the Three Dog Night on first and ended with Peter Noone. Thank you, Ruth Eckerd for bringing Peter to your venue.. I was wondering if he would be back after Bowzer's show tour ended last year. He is for sure a crowd pleaser. Totally enjoyed his show.

Peter Noone is a class act! He still puts on a great show and is very respectful of his fans. Took my 5 year old grandson who already has a love for music (especially the “oldies”) and this was his first concert. He thoroughly enjoyed himself, sang along and is still talking about it. He had the chance to meet Peter after the show and Peter was so kind and gracious to him. Peter gave him a personalized autographed CD which he clutched close to him all the way home as he fell asleep. 👍

What a spectacular show! Peter Noone’s voice is stronger than ever, showing off an amazing range that truly wowed the crowd. His iconic hits from the ’60s sounded better than ever, transporting the audience back in time—and judging by the singing and dancing in the aisles, nobody wanted the night to end. Beyond the music, Peter proved he’s just as sharp and entertaining as ever, delivering plenty of witty zingers and keeping the energy high, even when a faulty microphone tried to steal the spotlight. His upbeat, happy spirit never wavered, making the entire evening a joyful, unforgettable experience. A true showman in every sense!

What can you say about Peter Noone he is the consummate ENTERTAINER. For 77 he is a "BALL of ENERGY", his voice is as sweet as it was in 64' . Suffolk Theatre is an awesome venue though the sound system could have used a little "tweaking" music was clear but any conversation he was having was difficult to clearly make out.Regardless it was a great nostalgic evening as usual, Peters' Fan Club members were also fantastic, thank you Donna it was a pleasure meeting you.We are hoping that we can coordinate to see Peter again at EPCOT next Spring. Fabulous such a fun night Peter was full of surprises instead of coming out from the side entrance of the stage he came from the back of the entry Doors of the venue “in fact I was one seat away from him as he rushed on bye.” Peter also stepped off the stage came out walking about singing around the concert audience. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that Peter will sing the song “My Sentimental friend” soon at a concert soon.

Wow, I expected to see the band play some 60's hits including their own. This far exceeded expectations. Peter is an incredible entertainer, walking out into the audience and spending quite a bit of time with hilarious banter. He was masterful at engaging the audience, and made the experience personal with many references to local sites. The show would have been great just listening to the music, but him creating the total entertainment package made this an exceptional experience. I have seen many 60's shows, including the Happy Together tour many times. The Herman's Hermits show is as good as it gets.

The show was awesome, as usual! Mr. Noone is truly an entertainer in that he engages the entire audience, of all ages. I've always loved Herman's Hermits, and their music is timeless. Everyone leaves his concerts feeling uplifted, that's what it's all about. This particular show was no exception. His interaction with fans after his shows is wonderful; he makes you feel like a true friend. I've since joined his fan club, and plan on attending more shows. Mr. Noone is a true "keeper of the flame" of the British Invasion of popular music. Here's to many more great shows!

Peter Noone never disappoints. He was in great form, singing and dancing and joking his way around the stage and spending more time in the audience than he usually does. The venue is lovely and every direction I looked, people were laughing and singing along and having a great time. I’m already looking forward to seeing him perform again. Can never get too much of Peter Noone! If you’ve never seen his show, do yourself a favor and check his concert schedule at peternoone.com. And no, I don’t work for him! Just want to share the joy!
