Folk’s modern muse Jensen McRae is carving out space for young Black women in the folk/pop genre with unflinching honesty and raw lyricism. At just 28, Jensen has already toured with acts like Noah Kahan and MUNA while receiving co-signs from the likes of Justin Bieber, Bon Iver, and Maggie Rogers. She released her debut album, Are You Happy Now?, in 2022, featuring viral singles like “Immune” and “Wolves,” which earned widespread acclaim from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, NY Post, and Billboard. In spring 2025, she released her highly anticipated sophomore album, I Don’t Know How But They Found Me!, via Dead Oceans. Jensen embarked on her first Global Headline Tour in 2025 and will continue touring throughout 2026.
