Nach zwei erfolgreichen Tourneen und zahlreichen Festivalauftritten in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz, kehrt Jules Ahoi im Herbst 2024 mit seinem neu formiertem Quintett um Muriel Bonn (Cello, Bass), Ornella Tobar-Gaete (Geige, Keys, E-Gitarre), Johannes Rüther (Drums) und Joris van Treeck (Bass, Gitarre) zurück auf die Bühne, um sein neues Album „Magnolia“ zu präsentieren. Während einer Künstlerresidenz im Weltkulturerbe Bauhaus, der renommierten Designschule in Dessau, fand der 34-jährige Musiker die Inspiration, die die Grundlage für das neue Werk bildet. Die Zeit in Dessau nahm einen tiefgreifenden Einfluss auf den in Köln lebenden Künstler, sein musikalisches Schaffen und eröffnete ihm neue Perspektiven auf seine eigene künstlerische Ausdrucksweise. Und so wird auch die Formation, mit der Jules Ahoi 2024 auf der Bühne stehen wird neu ausgestaltet sein: „Wir besinnen uns zurück auf die Anfänge dieser Band, rücken das Handgemachte wieder in den Vordergrund und konzentrieren uns auf das Wesentliche. Wir haben uns für einen Schritt zurück entschieden, die Band verkleinert, die Arrangements ausgedünnt und ich hab alles selbst bei mir Zuhause produziert. Das war nicht immer einfach, aber entstanden ist ein wahnsinnig intimes und persönliches Album auf das wir als Band stolz sein können und das wir, Muriel, Ornella, Joe, Joris und ich als Quartett, im Herbst 24 präsentieren werden.“ Die „Magnolia“ Tour wird präsentiert vom DeutschlandfunkNOVA, DIFFUS Magazin und Bedroom Disco.
