Der Anfang klingt fast wie ein Klischee, ist aber echt: ein kleines Dorf in Brandenburg mit wenig Ablenkung und viel Zeit zum Träumen. Genau dort wächst Julia Meladin auf. Ihr Vater spielt Gitarre und schreibt Songs. Schon sehr früh ist auch Julia inspiriert. Mit acht entstehen die ersten eigenen Texte. Während andere noch suchen, weiß sie, was sie will: Musik. Mit 17 zieht sie zum Studium nach Berlin. 2021 lädt sie ihren Song „Angst“ auf TikTok hoch. Ein Clip, aufgenommen im eigenen Zimmer, am Klavier. Über Nacht wird er quasi zum Soundtrack für viele junge Menschen, die versuchen zwischen Pandemie, Leistungsdruck und Orientierungssuche ihren eigenen Weg zu finden. Tausende hören zu, fühlen mit und teilen ihre eigenen Gedanken. „Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass sich so viele Menschen in meinen Worten wiederfinden“, sagt Julia rückblickend. „Da habe ich verstanden, was Musik wirklich kann.“ Aus diesem Moment entstand schnell mehr: eine wachsende Community, heute über 300.000 Follower auf TikTok, Millionen Streams auf Spotify und YouTube, ein Plattenvertrag bei Sony Music – und mit „Perlen um den Hals“ ein Debütalbum, das den Sprung in die Charts schaffte, sowie zwei erfolgreiche Tourneen in 2025.
