EXILEの想い・信念を受け継ぐダンス＆ヴォーカルグループ。 パフォーマーはリーダーを務める EXILE NAOTO ・小林直己、そして ELLY ・山下健二郎・岩田剛典 の 5 名。 ヴォーカルは EXILE Presents VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 2 ～夢を持った若者達へ～で選ばれた 今市隆二・ØMI。 2010 年 11 月 10 日、三代目 J SOUL BROTHERS 1st シングル「 Best Friend's Girl 」にてメジャーデビュー。 2012年 の「花火」で NHK 紅白歌合戦に 初出場 。 2014年 リリースしたベスト＆オリジナルアルバムは、オリコンウィークリーチャート 4 週連続 1 位 という快挙を達成。 その後、レコード大賞を 13 枚目のシングル 「 R.Y.U.S.E.I. 」 で獲得。YouTube での MV 視聴回数は 1.5 億回 を突破。 紅白歌合戦 に 3 年連続出場。 2015 年 におこなわれた LIVE TOUR 2015 “BLUE PLANET” では、ライブ・ビューイングを含め 約 120 万人を動員 。 18 枚目のシングル「 Summer Madness 」で日本有線大賞を受賞、続く 19 枚目のシングル「 Unfair World 」でレコード大賞を獲得、同賞 2 連覇を果たし、同年の 各賞受賞・記録 において 23 冠を達成 。 2016年 12 月には年間のオリコンランキングが発表され、総合ミュージック映像部門で自身初の 年間首位 を獲得するなど、アルバムアーティスト別セールス部門/ DVD 部門 / MUSIC DVD 部門と合わせて 4 冠 を達成。 また、同年 11 月から翌 2017 年にかけて自身 2 度目となる単独ドームツアー、 LIVE TOUR 2016 2017 “METROPOLIZ” を開催。 2017 年 3 月 29 日にベストアルバム 「 THE JSB WORLD 」 をリリース。 9 月には、“ METROPOLIZ” ツアーの続編となる“ UNKNOWN METROPOLIZ” ツアーをスタートさせ、年間を通してドーム公演37 公演、ライブ動員数 148.2 万人 を動員し、年間動員数歴代最多記録を更新。 2019 年 に開催された LIVE TOUR 2019 “RAISE THE FLAG” では 125 万人 を動員し、 1 ツアーにおけるグループ 史上最多動員数を記録 。 2020 年 3 月 18 日には、アルバム 『 RAISE THE FLAG 』 をリリース。 「 Rat tat tat 」 や、 「東京」 を初収録した全 10 曲入りのアルバムに加えて、「LIVE TOUR 2019 “RAISE THE FLAG” 」も収録された。 2021年 1 月 1 日には、「RISING SOUL 」を含むシングル「 RISING SUN TO THE WORLD 」を EXILE TRIBE 名義でリリース。 7月より、単独ドームツアー LIVE TOUR 2021 “THIS IS JSB” を開催。 2023年 2 月より、 9 年ぶりとなるアリーナツアー 「LIVE TOUR 2023“STARS” 〜 Land of Promise 〜 」 を開催。 11月より、 2 年ぶりとなるドームツアー 「三代目 J SOUL BROTHERS PRESENTS “JSB LAND” 」 を開催。
