Kristen Kelly is a Texas-born and raised singer-songwriter who has been captivating audiences with her powerful vocals and heartfelt lyrics for years. Making a name for herself in her home state touring in a classic rock cover band by the name of Big Dave & The Freaks, then in a duo by the name of Modern Day Drifters, then as Kristen Kelly and the Modern Day Drifters, scoring her first #1 as a songwriter in co-writing “Down In Flames” with fellow TX Red Dirt artists/songwriters Stoney Larue and the late Brandon Jenkins, seeing her own success at radio with her first TOP 10 on the TX Charts with “I Remember When”, winning TRRMA New Female Vocalist of the Year 2011 - Kristen caught the attention of Arista Nashville, leading to a major-label debut overseen by award-winning producer Tony Brown and Grammy-winning songwriter Paul Overstreet. Her first single, “Ex-Old Man,” skyrocketed to the top 30 on the Billboard charts, cementing her place as one of CMT’s Next Women of Country. Kristen has graced the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman, shared the stage as an opener and toured with renowned artists like Wade Bowen, Cory Morrow, Eli Young Band, Dwight Yoakam, Gary Allan, Dierks Bentley, Allan Jackson, Sheryl Crow, Jake Owen, Little Big Town, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Willie Nelson and more, headlined her own shows and had her song “Ashes” featured in the hit Netflix show - The Ranch. Currently, she’s touring to promote her ‘WARRIOR’ album released Feb 2024, which includes “How Do You Sleep At Night” (Kristen Kelly, Brandy Clark, Shane McAnally) - the untold follow-up question to the ex-best friend from her above mentioned BILLBOARD TOP 30 HIT single “Ex-Old Man” and her current single “Drink Myself Out Of Love With You” climbing the TX charts as you read this.
