About Karnataka
From powerful to ethereal, breathtaking to haunting, Karnataka’s music draws upon many influences from melodic,classic & progressive rock to symphonic cinematic soundscapes.
Karnataka rose to the forefront of new, female fronted rock bands, following the release of five critically acclaimed albums. The Gathering Light, recently won Best International Album at the World Web Awards in Italy.
Winning plaudits from Radio 2’s Bob Harris, Karnataka have performed in the UK, USA and Europe alongside prestigious artists such as Robert Plant and Porcupine Tree.
In 2012 the band released New Light Live In Concert. Filmed in Hi-Def video and recorded in 5.1 surround sound on the band's New Light tour, New Light is the band's first Blu-Ray release - also available on DVD and double CD.
Tha band are currently recording a new studio album set for release in 2014.
