Drawing inspiration from the fierce confidence of Nicki Minaj, the smooth delivery of Jack Harlow, and the innovative spirit of Missy Elliott, KP has developed a sound that's both familiar and entirely his own. Some have called him "the brain child of Nicki Minaj and Jack Harlow," but KP prefers to think of himself as "the product of our political climate (…and Nicki Minaj)." KP first made waves in 2018 with his debut single "Run it Back," followed by his first EP ‘Nottoway’ that December. The project featured standout tracks like “Martian,” "Drenched," and the boldly personal "League of My Own," where he creatively came out with unforgettable honesty. This fearless authenticity quickly endeared him to listeners and established his presence in the New Orleans music scene.
