About Leo Lovechild
Originally born and bred as a rock n roll band (Lovechild) in the basement venues, dive bars, and subway cars of the Lower East Side, the project of Leo Lovechild morphed into a quarantine-solo show before emerging today as a twangy four-piece of killer musicians (The Allstar Band) who carry Leo’s fresh and authentic songwriting reimagined into something country. His upcoming album, Skyscraper Country (coming August 1), portrays the life and times of F.J. Stein, a struggling singer/songwriter who desperately yearns for fame and love as he peddles his way through venues and relationships around New York City. After landing two Apple Music editorials and garnering over 20,000 Spotify streams on the first single “K*LL BOB” followed by a slow-ballad love song in “Roses” (dropped Feb.14), Leo returns to the airwaves on March 21 with an upbeat barn burner about a city boy’s longing for life in the country in “All My Friends” complete with the most tasteful guitar and pedal steel solos performed by NY-based musicians. Catch Leo and his Allstar band live to celebrate the new song on April 2nd at Skinny Dennis in Brooklyn, NY. Fall Tour dates and cities coming soon.
