MDS is an instrument swapping, rock/grunge/punk band from Melbourne, Australia. Mixing catchy pop melodies with punk rock riffs, and an infectiously energetic live show. Touring worldwide completely DIY, MDS have shared the stage with many including: Suicidal Tendencies, Hollywood Undead, Soft Play, NENA, Soulfly, DZ Deathrays, Frenzal Rhomb and WAAX. Their sophomore album ‘Wise and Dangerous’ released April 4th, 2025 independently. The album charted at #3 on the Indie charts (AIR) and is currently nominated for the Australian Music Prize. It was toured around Australia concluding with a sold out Northcote Social Club and a close to sold out 'second show' at the Tote Hotel in Melbourne. The duo have just returned from touring Europe, selling out headline shows and touring with DZ Deathrays and Press Club. They're set to perform at BIGSOUND Festival this September for the first time. Previous years have featured six international tours around Europe/UK, including various festivals, supports, sold out club shows as well as a headline set at Ziro Festival in the foothills of the Himalayas in India. The band has garnered some serious press of late, being featured in Rolling Stone (IN), shared on Spotify’s New Music Friday, All New Rock, Fresh Finds, Rock Out and New Noise editorial playlists as well as being listed in the KERRANG! Chart (UK). Their latest single Safe and Warm ft. DZ Deathrays was featured on Triple J’s ‘Short Fast Loud’ as well as various radio stations across the world. 'Wise and Dangerous' was listed as PBS.FM's 'Top 10' albums to check out. Previous highlights include being handpicked by Mike Muir to support Suicidal Tendencies on their Sold-Out Australian Tour and the band’s debut album “Super Mental Psycho” was co-produced with Australian producer Mark Opitz (AC/DC, INXS, The Angels, Divinyls).
