Hailing from Temple City, California, 24-year-old Salvadoran American DJ and producer Mattilo is rapidly emerging as one of the most exciting new forces in dance music. What began in his dad’s basement at just six years old has evolved into a story of relentless passion, viral energy, and global recognition. After taking his career into his own hands by sharing his music online, Mattilo’s original tracks and edits amassed over 400 million views on TikTok, building a community of fans drawn to his high-energy sound. His breakout single “SET ME FREE” marked his official arrival in the electronic scene—earning support from Martin Garrix and other major names across the industry. In 2024, Mattilo’s single “Thinkin Bout U” became a certified breakthrough hit, reaching the Top 10 on SiriusXM’s BPM Radio and landing on the Billboard Dance/Electronic charts, solidifying his position as one of dance music’s fastest-rising talents. That same year, he hit the road with Devault, followed by a national tour supporting Loud Luxury, performing for packed crowds across the U.S. The momentum carried into 2025 when Mattilo took the stage at EDC Las Vegas, delivering a standout performance that marked a full-circle moment for the young artist—going from making beats in his dad’s basement to playing one of the world’s biggest dance festivals. As his sound evolves, one thing remains clear: Mattilo isn’t just rising—he’s leading the next generation of dance music.
