In early 2023, Jamaican dancehall artist Malie Donn released his breakthrough single, “V6,” capturing the attention of fans and industry insiders alike. With support from key figures in the genre and a growing fanbase, Malie is relentless in his pursuit of success. Born Kimalie Hylton in Jones Avenue, Spanish Town, and raised in Waterford, Portmore, Malie grew up in a challenging environment. Despite these hurdles, music became his escape. He began writing lyrics and freestyling at school, and by his teenage years, he was focused on building a career in music. By 2020, Malie was recording and releasing tracks, laying the foundation for his rise. Before “V6,” Malie was already making waves with tracks like “Tantrum,” his first significant entry into dancehall.
