About Moving Pictures - Rush Tribute - Scotland
“When I listened to Moving Pictures at RUSHfest Scotland, I closed my eyes and I could hear my brother.” JUDY PEART “From the opening chord, the three-piece had the audience in the palm of their hand. Eóin de Paor proved himself a multi-instrumental marvel, shifting seamlessly between bass, keyboards, violin, and soaring lead vocals with precision and grace. Jamie Dunleavey, small but mighty behind her kit, unleashed a performance of sheer virtuosity, power and finesse combined in a way that drew gasps and cheers in equal measure. Steve Brown’s guitar work was masterful, weaving delicate textures and explosive solos with an ease that reminded everyone why Rush’s catalogue is both feared and revered by musicians. Together, the trio were note-perfect yet never mechanical.” HIGHLAND TIMES, SEPTEMBER 2025 Power trio MOVING PICTURES are a Rush tribute at the top of their game. Playing over 70 gigs a year sonce 2023, including Lakeside Park in Canada for Neil Peart's family, headlining RUSHfest Brazil in 2024 and RUSHfest Canada2025 at the mighty Massey Hall. 2026 will add another milestone in their career when they play one of the most iconic venues on the planet - The Barrowland ballrom in Glasgow. Favourites of Planet Rock's Darren Redick - who has been known to join them on stage. They have recordings on all 6 Songs for Neil tribute albums, including performances with Terry Brown, Hugh Syme and Jacob Moon. On hearing their original arrangement of AFTERIMAGE, Alex Lifeson wrote "Very moving and beautifully done. Heartfelt thanks to the band for their kind tribute." "They had only been on stage for mere minutes and already my face was aching from the sustained grin. These strangers who weren't actually Rush made me feel as though I was finally attending a legitimate Rush concert. The accuracy with which they all play while still maintaining a lighthearted approach to their performance is, well, it's exactly as you'd expect from Rush themselves." Mark Reid - Rockfiend “That was the 3rd best Rush show I’ve ever seen. The first 2 were Rush.” “If you missed seeing Rush live, this is as close as you’ll ever get to the real thing.” GARY COOPER, MOSHVILLE TIMES

The band were excellent! Consumate musicianship and very good vocals. My fave this time was La Villa Strangiato. Simply sublime perfection! The audience seemed not to get too involved until half way through the set at Tom Sawyer. Slight downside for me was the late start (after 9pm) and late end - almost midnight. Some fans including me had to leave early...alas. Perhaps indicating well in advance of future RUSHfests ,when MP are likely to start will help. Roll on. September 27th in The Garage in Glasgow! Ta!

Second time seeing the band. Fantastic again. Unbelievable value for money. Played three hours , early songs to late period , all expertly performed. I was excited to hear the whole Permanent Waves album played , in order. I was super impressed with the version of Different Strings, especially the long solo at the end. Amazing, can’t recommend highly enough for Rush fans. The drumming was a standout too. First class.

Great renditions of Rush songs by a very talented trio. Really enjoyed the evening and would definitely go to see them again. For a Rush fan, brings back so many memories. I know they are mainly standing venues but to play at an all seater could be more beneficial for the older ones 😀 Keep up the good work.

Moving Pictures - Rush Tribute - Scotland @ The Tivoli Theatre, Wednesday September 24th 2025 I was fortunate enough to be sat in the front row to see and hear this incredible group of musicians. Each member is ridiculously talented and, like Rush, together they are even stronger than their individual excellence. If you have yet to go to one of their gigs…go as soon as often as you can 🤘

Didn't realise how much I had missed hearing these songs live until watching MP.... what a treat! Covering the extensive catalogue as best you can in 2.5hrs or so, we had Exit... Stage Left and a whole lot more, the band enjoying the evening as much as us echoing our hero's. Show me, don't tell me you may cry! Go see 'em, and it's R50 next year?

Had an excellent experience watching these guys at the 02 Birmingham. Their musicianship and technical prowess were second to non. All three band members were enjoying themselves and there was banter going back and forth throughout. The crowd who knew the lyrics to all the songs Enjoyed the craic and everywhere I looked there were goofy grins and nodding heads along with some drum solos being reanacted. Would definitely see them again Superb

I never got the chance to see Rush but I loved their music. Moving Pictures were the next best thing and what a show they put on. It was an awesome night and I look forward to seeing them again. Waterloo Music Bar is a fantastic venue and a great place to hear live music. It's well worth a visit.

Absolutely amazing show. If you're a Rush fan, you'll know how perfectly these three virtuoso musicians play the material. Very tight and sound exactly like Lee, Lifeson and Peart. Would happily go to their shows over and over again. Really nice people, too. My advice, go and see them as soon and as often as you can. Hey Presto....they're magic!

This is the third time I have seen them and I brought my son and three of my friends. Their musicianship is fantastic and a joy to watch. As a lifelong Rush fan I always find it emotional to hear their music played so well. I look forward to the next time.
