Criada no Morro do Preventório, comunidade da cidade de NiteróiRJ, Carolina de Oliveira Lourenço se tornou MC Carol ainda adolescente quando passou a ser convidada para participar dos bailes da região. Hoje, com 22 anos, a cantora de funk também conhecida como Carol Bandida e Carol de Niterói possui um repertório com hits consagrados como “Não Foi Cabral’, "Onda Forte", "Eu te amo" e "Minha vó tá maluca". Por seu jeito irreverente e sincero, além de suas letras irônicas e bem humoradas sobre o cotidiano da favela, Carol ganhou o público e é comparada à uma das principais percursoras do funk, Tati QuebraBarraco. Inclusive foi com ela e outras quatro funkeiras (Yani, MC Sabrina, Mary Silvestre e Karol K) que MC Carol protagonizou o reality show Lucky Ladies da FOX Life no qual as artistas conviveram durante 2 meses e compartilharam experiências que enriqueceram suas carreiras.
