Matt Stillwell is a country singer-songwriter and storyteller whose music is rooted in lived experience, family, and community. Raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Sylva, North Carolina, Stillwell first made his mark as an All-Conference baseball player at Western Carolina University. When his playing days ended, he carried that same work ethic onto stages across America. More than 3,000 shows in 47 states later, Stillwell has built a seven-album catalog with more than 16 million streams. Songs including “Shine,” “Heroes and Men,” “I’m a Vol for Life Y’all,” and “Hey Dad” have connected because they sound like the life behind them—honest stories of family, memory, loss, hometown pride, and hard-won perspective. His latest project, Matt Stillwell 7 Series, Vol. 1, continues that story with new music grounded in home and the moments that stay with us. Away from the stage, Stillwell is the founder of BEAT ALS, an initiative of the 723 Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit bringing together music, sports, storytelling, and direct action for people and families affected by ALS.
