About Melody
There are three artists with this name: 1) melody. is a Japanese pop singer who was born on February 24th, 1982 in Honolulu, Hawaii. It wasn't until her first collaboration with m-flo on their "m-flo loves..." project that she became more well-known. On October 22, 2008, melody. announced that she will retire from the music industry in January 2009. She plans to enter the fashion industry as a designer of Western-styled clothes. From April 2007 until October 2008, melody. was the host of J-MELO, an all-English weekly show focused on Japanese music that airs on NHK World TV. Outside of Japan, she may be known for playing the character "Yumi Yamamoto" in Electronic Art's Need for Speed: Carbon, which also featured the Junkie XL remix of her song FEEL THE RUSH on its soundtrack.
