Maija Johanna Vilkkumaa (born November 9, 1973 in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish rock/pop singer and songwriter. In the early 90's Maija was a member of the Finnish band Tarharyhmä before she left the group to start her own band with keyboardplayer Tero Pennanen, bassist Niko Kokko, guitarist Mikko Kosonen and drummer & percussionist Marko Timonen. They have released five albums: Pitkä ihana leikki (1999), Meikit, ketjut ja vyöt (2001), Ei (2003), Se ei olekaan niin (2005) and Superpallo (2008). Allso band has released greatest hits collection: Totuutta ja tehtävää (2006), and live CD: Ilta savoyssa (2007). Maija Vilkkumaa is one of the most popular female artists in Finland.
