Nerves are an experimental punk band hailing from Mayo / Wicklow Ireland. They have built a reputation as one of the most devastating live acts in the country, over the past 2 years. There is a consistent string of headline shows and support slots around Ireland, as well as the word-of-mouth buzz around the group. They recently made their UK debut with a loud, sweaty and cathartic show in the Windmill Brixton and France debut at a packed Supersonic, in Paris. They have supported the best in Irish and UK modern punk including Sprints, Talk Show, Deadletter, Gurriers, Vlure and HMLTD. The band released their debut EP “Glórach” in 2024, featuring the singles “Empty” and “Thirteen”. A limited vinyl run was produced, in collaboration with Blowtorch Records. Recorded and co-produced by Gilla Band's Daniel Fox, 'Glórach' captures the sonic devastation Nerves are capable of dishing out live, as well as some contrasting fragile moments, of quiet discomfort. With local dates scattered throughout the year as well as a string of shows in Europe in Autumn/Winter, Nerves are showing a statement of intent in 2024. "A blast of corrosive sound, 'Leigue' pushes out towards the seven-minute mark, a Brutalist construction that recalls Shellac in its bass-heavy abstraction." - CLASH magazine.
