Her soulful tone, reminiscent of Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston, reflects both her strength and experiences as an outsider overcoming adversity. Nao’s live performances have gone viral, with one YouTube video surpassing 4.9 million views. She has headlined stages such as Blue Note New York and London Jazz Cafe, and appeared at major festivals like Java Jazz and Capital Jazz Fest, earning international recognition. As the first Japanese artist to reach No. 32 on the Billboard UAC chart, she’s collaborated with artists including John Batiste, Nathan East, Eric Roberson, Mamas Gun, Devin Morrison, and Blue Lab Beats.
