orbit Tour Dates and Upcoming Concerts

orbit is the electronic project of 30 year old producer and songwriter Marcel Heym. With a soundscape marked by a blend of raw acoustic guitars and atmospheric synth leads, orbit combines imagery of life in the countryside with an immersive dream world. After becoming a music producer in his early twenties and moving to Berlin, Marcel realized he could not find happiness in the noise of the metropolitan jungle. Some weeks after escaping the city and going back to his hometown he launched his first own music project in nostalgic dedication to his roots, releasing his Debut EP Perspectives in 2020. Instead of being a shiny new product of the music industry, orbit increasingly turned into a multidimensional place for creativity and a real community inside and outside the internet. Going without any record company, Marcel and his friends have formed a collective that realises various kinds of projects including artworks, videos and handmade merchandise. Within two years, orbit achieved sold out headline shows in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and millions of streams on his independent released songs. In 2021 orbit called up his followers to co-organise concerts in their hometowns. A few months later Marcel and his friends played over 20 shows at private festivals, in wild forests and backyards all across the country. One year later orbit expanded circles with countless live shows all around Europe, playing his first festival shows and joining his friend Parra for Cuva as support. In december orbit closed the year with the first headline club tour of the project. Now, in the beginning of 2023, Marcel announced his third EP release for April ‘23 alongside a special concert in the Berlin Zeiss Planetarium. The new EP is moving a newly dark sphere into the artist’s universe - a powerful piece of gloomy, vast synthie soundscapes, orbit’s characteristic hazy vocals and soft acoustic guitars. “It came to me in a process of learning to accept and even admiring the night side of life.“
