Gli Ovlov nascono nel 2008 dalla trasformazione del progetto Black Eyed Susan in cui suonavano già Luisa Pangrazio (Lù, voce e chitarra) e Luigi Ancellotti (Gigi, basso). La prima formazione con alla batteria Michele Marelli pubblica per Casa Molloy l'album "Margareth, Frank and the Bear" con la collaborazione e produzione di Pierluigi Ballarin (The Records') e Stefano Moretti (Pink Holy Days). Il disco esce nel 2010 e viene accolto molto bene dalla critica e dal pubblico, permettendo alla band di suonare in giro per l'Italia e di avere una piccola vetrina al Popkomm di Berlino. Dopo il tour promozionale la band si è "rinchiusa" in sala prove per creare i brani del nuovo disco, un processo creativo lungo e non senza scossoni: nel 2013 infatti si compie un cambio di formazione che ha dato una nuova spinta alla band con l'ingresso di Simone Cavagnini ( già Van Cleef Continental) alla batteria. A maggio 2014 è uscito "Pills" un EP di 4 pezzi registrato da Lorenzo Caperchi. A febbraio 2015 esce il secondo album “Solo”, con la direzione artistica di Andy Rourke, la produzione artistica di Andy Rourke e Lorenzo Caperchi. Nel disco ci sono numerosi ospiti come Xabier Iriondo (Afterhours), Daniela Savoldi e Giovanni Battagliola (Don Turbolento).
