About P'tit Belliveau
Originaire de Baie-Ste-Marie en Nouvelle-Écosse, P’tit Belliveau a grandi dans une communauté francophone insulaire entourée d’anglophones. C’est néanmoins dans sa langue maternelle qu’il a fait sa grande entrée aux Francouvertes en 2019 en étant finaliste auprès de O.G.B. et Alex Burger. Installé à Moncton au Nouveau-Brunswick depuis près d’un an, il garde près de son coeur l’esprit de communauté de son bout de pays. Les lacs, la pêche et la nature s’érigent ainsi au cœur de son inspiration.
La musique a pris racine dans son cœur grâce à la radio communautaire locale de Baie-Ste-Marie où il a cueilli les premières bribes de ce qui deviendrait son essence à lui. On y jouait constamment des musiques faites DIY, ce qui prend vie et s’incarne aujourd’hui dans ses propres sonorités lo-fi, et son désir d’intégrer des drum machines dans une chanson folk ou bluegrass.
Sachant raconter le quotidien comme pas un, P’tit Belliveau décline une musique folk-country aux accents électros inspirés du feel des lecteurs cassettes. Son premier album, "Greatest Hits Vol.1" paraîtra en 2020 via Bonsound. L'extrait Les bateaux dans la baie est disponible sur toutes les plateformes numériques.
