PATCH is a darkfolkrock project formed in Cripple Creek, Virginia in 2011. Founding members Taylor Tazewell and Benton Allen formed the band while working out of a cabin in the Appalachian mountains before relocating to Austin, Texas in 2012. In Austin they began playing alongside longtime friend and fellow North Carolinian, Wesley Maffly-Kipp, and, in the Winter of 2015, Ben Humphreys joined the group. With a tendency toward the bittersweet and melancholy, PATCH is comprised of guitar, accordion, bass, banjo, and drums. @patchatx
