Primitive Reason Tour Dates and Upcoming Concerts

Primitive Reason is a genre-bending, transnational band (of American, Spanish, and Portuguese backgrounds) based in Lisbon, Portugal. From intense grooves and mellow moods to hard hitting power, Primitive Reason takes you on a sonic voyage to a concrete jungle that lies somewhere beyond the typical rock-ska/ alternative cross-over/ fusioncore clouds. Primitive Reason returns to the stage to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of Alternative Prison, an iconic album that profoundly marked the alternative scene and became the soundtrack for a restless and nonconformist generation. Formed in Cascais, Portugal, in 1993, Primitive Reason stood out for its unique and explosive sound, fusing rap, punk, hardcore, reggae, and ska into a raw energy that ignited stages across the country. Alternative Prison, released in 1996, became an unavoidable landmark of national alternative music, maintaining a rare relevance to this day. The band returns to the stage in 2026 with two special shows in Lisbon and Porto, designed to celebrate different generations of fans and revisit a repertoire that remains as intense and current as it was three decades ago. The lineup reunites founding members Brian Jackson, Guillermo de Llera, and Jorge Felizardo, accompanied by Mark Cain and Abel Beja, recreating the explosive chemistry of the original formation.
