Reckoning Hour is a metalcore band hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, formed in 2012. Their journey began with the release of their debut EP, "Rise of the Fallen" (2013), and they have since produced two full-length albums: "Between Death and Courage" (2016) and "Beyond Conviction" (2020). Known for their powerful sound and profound lyrics, Reckoning Hour quickly gained recognition with their hit "Misguided," which was named the best national metal song of the year by one of Brazil's premier rock radio stations. The band has made a mark in the metal scene by performing at major festivals in Brazil. They have also shared the stage with international heavyweights like In Flames, Dream Theater, As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage, Children of Bodom, and Suicide Silence. In 2016, Reckoning Hour signed with Famined Records (USA) and released "Between Death and Courage," which reached the top 10 in Brazilian metal charts. Their third album, "Beyond Conviction," released in 2019, brought an even more aggressive sound with themes focusing on psychological and political issues, emphasizing the unity and friendship among the band members. Continuing to evolve, Reckoning Hour has released successful singles like "Ground Zero," "Downfall," and "Paragon," which will be part of their upcoming album "Mantra," set to be released in 2025. They have also been part of South American tours with As I Lay Dying and were chosen by Dream Theater to perform at Dream Fest in Brazil. With their impactful sound and deep, resonant lyrics, Reckoning Hour has established themselves as one of the leading bands of the new generation of Brazilian metal.
