Real de Catorce es una de las bandas más importantes del blues mexicano y un referente del blues en español. Fue fundada en 1985 en la Ciudad de México por el cantante, compositor, armonicista y poeta José Cruz Camargo, quien ha sido el principal autor de su repertorio. El nombre del grupo está inspirado en el Pueblo Mágico de Real de Catorce, en San Luis Potosí. Trayectoria La agrupación ofreció su primer concierto el 12 de diciembre de 1985 en el legendario foro Rockotitlán. Desde sus inicios se distinguió por interpretar blues con letras en español de gran fuerza poética, incorporando también influencias de rock, jazz y swing. Gracias a esta propuesta, se convirtió en uno de los principales exponentes del blues en México. A lo largo de más de cuatro décadas, Real de Catorce ha mantenido una trayectoria independiente, desarrollando un estilo propio que le ha permitido formar una sólida base de seguidores y consolidarse como una banda de culto dentro del rock mexicano.
