The Slims 2022 release ‘Crooks’ burst onto the scene as a surprise to many with its uncanny blend of Psychedelia and Americana. Found somewhere between the reverb-soaked guitar sounds of The Shadows and the vast, evocative spirit of Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Westerns. After a slew of singles, the band released their debut EP in the summer of 2024, capturing a more refined and explosive sound. The release spent a month in the AMRAP Top 10 Metro charts and received solid support from community radio and Triple J. Over the course of the year, they returned with a sold-out EP launch at The Lansdowne Hotel, a slot on the infamous Oxford Art Factory Birthday Party, a residency at The Pleasure Club, as well as a host of supports for notable acts such as GIMMY, Thunder Fox, Radio Free Alice and Sweetie.
