Scream Silence Tour Dates and Upcoming Concerts

Scream Silence is a dark rock band that was founded in Germany in 1998. The first album, To Die For, was named Album of the Month by music magazine Orkus in 1999. The success of the first album enabled Scream Silence to tour with bands such as Christian Death and Dreadful Shadows. The album The 2nd followed in 2001. As part of the subsequent tour, the band also played at the Wave Gothic Festival. In 2002, bassist Rene Schulze and guitarist Joerg Rennewald left the band and were replaced by Robert Klausch and Cornel Otto. Without much promotion, the album Seven Tears was released in 2003 on the Moonstorm Records label. Further releases and performances followed. The group played at the Herbstnächte Festival at Burg Rabenstein with Adam Pearson, guitarist for The Sisters of Mercy. In the spring of 2004, they founded their own record label, Plainsong Records. The album Elegy was released at the end of October 2004. With the addition of René Gödde as second live guitarist, the album Saviourine was released. In early 2011, drummer Heiko Wolf decided to leave the band. The band found a replacement in Nestor de Valley. After performances at the M'era Luna Festival, the Blackfield Festival, and a European tour with the Norwegian band Zeromancer, it took almost four years before Scream Silence returned in 2012 with their eighth self-titled album on a new label, Out of Line. In early 2015 the multi-instrumentalist Johanna Kellerbauer joined the band adding the violin. In June 2015, the ninth album Heartburnt was released, financed by a crowdfunding campaign and produced again under their own label (Plainsong Records). Hagen Schneevoigt and Robert Klausch left the band in 2023, whereupon the remaining members tweaked a few things regarding the line up and are now performing as a quartet.
